Good Review
"The Help stars Emma Stone as Skeeter, Viola Davis as Aibileen and Octavia Spencer as Minny-three very different, extraordinary women in Mississippi during the 1960s, who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project that breaks societal rules and puts them all at risk. From their improbable alliance a remarkable sisterhood emerges, instilling all of them with the courage to transcend the lines that define them, and the realization that sometimes those lines are made to be crossed-even if it means bringing everyone in town face-to-face with the changing times." -- (C) DreamWorks

The book the The Help which is now a motion picture, helps the audience and the reader understand other people's perspective on life. The review the Rotten Tomato gave on The Help was both insightful and endearing. It specify the time and place, main characters and a small synopsis of what the  movie will entail.  In the Rotten Tomato review, without completely letting you know what the drama or climax is about the book, the reviews gives you one sentence or two to sum up that their is some drama that occurs in the movie. One thing they could have mentioned in the review about the movie is go into more detail about the setting. Yes, it was in 1960s in Mississippi, but during what time? These three extraordinary women they mention the Rotten Tomato review, where they all white women or black women. They never really specified that this was in a time where blacks didn't have the same equal rights as whites. If the review would have went into more details or have a sentence or two about the three main characters would have set the review from The Rotten Tomato over the top. Explaining the characters is a great way to to get more insight so the audience can understand better what kind of people are going to the movie. Especially these these characters, they all have completely different personalities and gives great dimension to both the novel and the movie.

Bad Review

"Maybe I got a lemon?

I honestly have no idea what the hype is all about with this phone. It's literally the WORST phone I have ever owned. There are too many malfunctions for this phone to be priced the way it is or to have the reviews that it has. The navigation was the best function on this phone. That's about it...."
When first reading this review, a person would not know what this review would be going to a product a book, a movie, or food. The title given this review is very vague, and does not mention any specifics. “Maybe I go a lemon” doesn’t clarify anything, this person could have been talking about lemon he got in a grocery store or a maybe the candy Lemon Heads, we as a reader don’t know what this review entails. Writing a review, it is important to state the facts, make a quick and easy, and get to the point. People would have never guess that this reviewer was talking the HTC EVO phone. It is only when you get to the first sentence that this person was talking about the phone. When naming a title on a review, it should be about the thing you are wanting to write about. The title of this review throws the whole review off and doesn’t mention anything about lemons in the review. There wasn’t much details, as too why this person didn't like the the phone. There were only about three sentences explaining why this buyer didn’t like the phone. If this was the first review someone read I don’t think that someone would souly basis their decision base on a review that was titled “maybe I got a lemon” about a phone.
